AARP FREE INCOME TAX PREPARATION
February 4-April 17, 2012. Located next to Payless Shoesource at Thunderbird Mall. Tuesdays, 9am-12N, 1pm-4pm, 5pm-8pm. Thursdays, 9am-12N, 1pm-4pm. Saturdays, 10am-1pm. Taxpayers should bring Social Security Cards and birthdates for all person listed on tax return, last years tax return, W-2s, 1099s, for wages, Social Seurity, pensions, interest and dividends and miscellaneous income, child care and education expenses for taxpayer and dependents, student loan interest paid, information if itemizing deductions. To apply for the renters or homeowners property tax refund, bring 2011 Certificate of Rent paid and,or 2012 Property Tax Statement as well as non-taxable benefits such as public assistance, Veterans benefits or SSI received. You may qualify for a Residential Energy Credit if you made energy efficient improvements to your home in 2010. Bring your receipts for purchases made. If you received a first time home buyer credit in 2008 and have to pay it back, bring your 2008 tax return with you.
